My transition journey as a professional artist started with these paintings. I made a promise to Color that from here on out, I will honor its wishes, and paint what it desires. Paint the message that it has for me and the message that resonates with my mind, my body, and my soul.
I created these pieces for people who feel like they are stuck in an identity that doesn't align with their values. You know how when your scared to do something different just because "that's not what people know you for" or that "people might judge you"?
In the past, I used to focus on creating nothing more than fluid art paintings. People got used to seeing me make them and started identifying me as "my friend that does fluid art". That was cool, however, it's not the art I want to make anymore. My Alive mini series is here to show you that you CAN walk in alignment with who you truly want to be. It just take one step at a time, and about 5 seconds of courage.
